I have always been fairly active however pounding the pavement and thousands of sit ups just wasn’t shifting the muffin top and those extra kilos that seem to hang around after having children. On my morning runs I would pass a group of people doing amazing looking exercises involving pushing tyres, carrying logs and working out on the sand, but there was always the same faces week in week out and lots of laughter. Thinking I would sign up for just one month of boot camp, little did I realise how much it would change my life. I’m still here six months later and love every minute. Bec and Denise are really supportive as is everyone else I have met along the way. Each session is hard work but so rewarding and it’s the fastest hour of the day.
At the age of 47 I am in the best physical shape of my life. I have lost 4kgs and dropped an entire clothes size (without giving up cheese and champagne).
Bec helped me train properly for a half marathon this year and I have signed up for the Adelaide Marathon (half) next month and the Anaconda Adventure race (trail run) in December.
Also, because I am stronger and fitter I haven’t had any injuries. Bec seems to get the best out of everyone, puts in hours of work behind the scenes and is genuinely excited to help you achieve your goals.
No matter your age, size, shape, gender or injury you will never feel excluded or left behind during a session. Everyone works together, supports each other and offers encouragement constantly.

With Bec, if it hurt, she found another exercise that allowed me to keep training and strengthening my leg. After many months of personal training, my leg was stronger and I was lot fitter.
I then started going to "b outdoors". While the personal training can be both rewarding and tough, "b outdoors" offers up new challengers. The variety of the training, the team spirit and training outdoors is an incredible way to start the day. It does seem to become a little addictive. I have been going to b outdoors for a couple of years now, and while I am definitely one of the older and slower participants, everyone encourages you to exceed your own expectations. The benefits of training in this positive environment can be seen in the results achieved by the participants each month. You will finish a month of b outdoors, fitter, stronger and more able to deal with the daily stresses of life.
